Key Fobs

Carry your keys in style with a key fob.   These are about 5″ long, to fit around your wrist.  I have many more in progress… they make great Christmas presents!

Brown & Green Strip Purse August 4, 2008

I’ve been neglecting this blog, which has been easy to do since this summer has been busy and chaotic. I have managed to find time to sew though, it is one of the few things that keeps me sane. Here is a purse set that I made for my sister’s friend, Katie. She requested it based on some things I had made for Elisha. (I did almost keep it… really need to make a set like this for myself)

A work in progress May 7, 2008

I have been working on a quilt for sylvie’s big girl room. The fabric is from Heather Bailey’s Freshcut line. I have finally finished the quilt top and now need to do the actual quilting. Quilting is a big job and I am having fun with it :)

Dogs Dogs Dogs May 7, 2008

Sylvie loves dogs. Not in a “i’m a baby who likes dogs” kind of way, but really she is OBSESSED with dogs. I knew I had to make her something from this fabric the first time I saw it, so here it is at last. It’s a little big around the neck, but who cares — it has dogs!!

A new spring dress March 13, 2008

I hadn’t sewn anything for a week or so (well besides the monumental task of the quilt i’m working on) So yesterday I decided to make a new dress. It’s a perfect dress for an active little girl, pretty and sweet and yet comfy for playing with the boys.
*Ignore the glazed look in her eyes, she was being goofy!*

Today Jackson received an amazing award.  He was given top  honors for the entire Kindergarten (there are 6 or 7 Kindy classes) at his school for this 6 week period.  We are so proud of him!  You can see a clip of the assembly here-

You’ve come a long way baby February 21, 2008

Each year at Trevor’s birthday, there is a time of reflection. Thinking about the circumstances surrounding his birth always brings many emotions. It was a time of joy at the arrival of our new baby, but also grief and anxiety at the road we knew was ahead for him and for us. What a remarkable transformation in four short years.  I think we can finally look back and just smile… we made it through and Trevor has done just fine.  Sometimes during the hard times in life you don’t feel like you will ever make it through. But you do, and then years later you can look back and smile.
